A consumes a job’s materials when the work is completed, instead of an operator issuing each one by hand. Where a material comes from is set on its line in the bill of materials.

Pull From on a material line

On a bill of materials line, in the item, the quote and the job alike, expand the line. For a line whose method type is not Make to Order the section is labelled Pull From. Pick the Method Type, the Location and the Storage Unit it is drawn from. A line with no storage unit shows the item’s Default Storage Unit. For Make to Order lines the section is labelled Finish To and defaults to WIP.
