The in-app assistant answers questions about using Alforse. Open it with the Question button in the top bar or press ⌘L. It searches the product documentation and returns an answer with links to relevant pages. The assistant is read-only and documentation-only. It explains features and workflows and can navigate to pages, but it cannot read live company data or make changes. For data-specific questions, it can open the relevant page for you to inspect. This is distinct from the Slack assistant, which is a separate integration that surfaces Alforse in Slack. The in-app assistant lives only inside the ERP.

What it can do

The assistant can:
  • Answer from the docs. It searches the same content that powers this documentation site and reads whole pages to answer your question, citing the page it used as a link.
  • Take you to a page. Ask for “the jobs page” or “settings” and it can navigate you straight there. For a record page it needs a specific id, which it can only use if it found one in the docs. It never invents ids.
  • Offer links, buttons, and choices. It can show a clickable link, a one-click suggested follow-up, or a short set of options to pick from when your question is ambiguous.
It cannot run reports, update fields, or post documents.

Where it appears

The assistant is available throughout the ERP. The Question button and ⌘L toggle a chat panel on the right. The assistant receives the current page or record as context, so questions such as “how do I edit this?” apply to the active screen. The button and panel appear only when the company’s plan includes the assistant.

Threads and messages

Each conversation is a thread visible only to you within your company. Use panel history to switch threads, start a new one, or delete a thread. Reopened threads display their 200 most recent messages. Alforse stores each exchange as messages containing visible text and records of documentation lookups. It assigns a short title when the thread has a clear topic. You can rate an answer with the thumbs-up or thumbs-down buttons.

Limits and availability

The assistant is a paid feature.
  • Plan. It is available on the Business and Partner plans.
  • Beta. Answers can be incomplete or incorrect. Use the linked documentation as the source of truth.
