# Your account

> Personal, self-service settings for profile, passkeys and two-factor, notification preferences, theme, and language — separate from company-wide settings.

The **Account** area manages your profile, credentials, and notification preferences; theme and language are in the avatar menu. These settings affect only your account and require no special permission. Company-wide configuration is under **Settings** and requires administrative access. Open **Account Settings** from your avatar menu; its sidebar has **Notifications**, **Profile**, and **Security**.

## Profile

Profile information is visible to other users.

## Signing in

The sign-in page offers an email code or magic link, **Sign in with Google**, **Sign in with Outlook**, and **Sign in with Passkey**; it does not use passwords. Which methods appear is configured for the deployment, not per user.

Security holds everything you sign in with.

Use **Account → Security** to manage credentials. **Add Passkey** opens your browser's WebAuthn prompt, so you can sign in with Face ID, Touch ID, or a device PIN. Edit a passkey to rename it, or delete it to revoke it. Each row shows when the passkey was added and last used. This screen also contains the authenticator-app settings. See [two-factor authentication](/docs/reference/two-factor.md) for setup, enforcement, and recovery.

TIP

**Keep more than one way in**

A passkey is tied to a device. Register a second passkey to retain access if the first device is unavailable; otherwise, use a magic link.

## Notification preferences

**Account → Notifications** contains topic-by-channel preferences. In-app notifications are always delivered. The toggles control email and, when the Slack integration is active, Slack. Topics include Approvals, Changelog newsletter, General, Inventory, Items, Jobs, Maintenance, Purchasing, Quality, Quotes, Sales, Suggestions, and Training. Each topic and channel is enabled by default; turn off a switch to opt out of that combination. See [notifications](/docs/reference/notifications.md) for notification triggers and channel availability.

## Theme, language, and attributes

Open the avatar menu to set **Appearance** (Light, Dark, or System), **Theme Color**, and **Language**. Theme Color offers four themes: alforse light (the default), Modern, Brutal, and Blueberry. It is stored in a cookie, so it applies per user and browser.

Your company can define categorized **user attributes**, such as certification dates or shift preferences. An attribute appears on your public profile only when its category is public. You can edit its value only when it is marked self-managed.

For the switches that shape the whole company, see [company settings](/docs/reference/company-settings.md) and [people](/docs/reference/people.md).
