# Estimating & quoting

> Pull quotes and bills of material from Paperless Parts into Alforse.

## Paperless Parts

Connect with an **API key** and a **webhook signing secret**. The API key authenticates Alforse to Paperless Parts; the signing secret verifies inbound webhooks.

### Add your API key

Provide your Paperless Parts **API key** to authenticate Alforse.

### Set the webhook signing secret

Enter the secret used to verify Paperless Parts webhook signatures.

### Set import defaults

Set the default **Material Method Type**, **Material Tracking Type**, the optional **Bill of Process Black List**, and whether to **Use Paperless Order Number**.

  Default tracking type for imported items: **Inventory**, **Non-Inventory**, or **Batch** (defaults to **Inventory**).

  <summary>**Bill of Process Black List**</summary>

  Optional list of Paperless process names to leave out of imported methods.

  <summary>**Use Paperless Order Number**</summary>

  Whether to carry the Paperless order number onto the Alforse document.

Paperless Parts webhooks create quotes in Alforse when a quote is sent and sales orders when an order is created (status changes update the order).
