# Assistant

> Bring the Alforse Assistant into Slack, with nonconformance notifications.

## Slack

Connect **Slack** through **OAuth** to add the **Alforse Assistant** to your workspace and receive nonconformance notifications. No additional configuration fields are required.

A Slack shortcut also opens a form to log a quality issue from Slack, and Alforse posts the issue's thread back to the channel. Requests from Slack are accepted only with a valid Slack signature.

### Start the Slack install

Start authorization to open the Slack installation window.

### Choose your workspace

Select a workspace and approve the installation. Alforse stores the connection.

HEADS UP

Slack is unavailable in controlled (ITAR) environments.

The MCP server is at `https://app.alforse.com/api/mcp`; it exposes the same tools as the Assistant.
